Crockpot Stuffing

Nana's Crock Pot Stuffing

This is my mom's famous recipe. It really is the best. We added the apples this year and really liked it.

3¼ hours | 10 min prep

SERVES 10

  1. In a frying pan brown sausage and then add onions, celery and apple in butter until onion is just translucent. Add your garlic very last and saute a little more. You may need to add some butter if there isn't much grease in the pan from the sausage.
  2. Stir in sage, marjoram, salt, pepper, savory and thyme.
  3. Combine vegetable mixture with the bread cubes and parsley.
  4. Toss well.
  5. Pour stock over mixture, tossing well. You're stuffing mixture should be pretty moist and start to cake together.
  6. Spoon into your crock-pot.
  7. Cover and cook on high for one hour.
  8. Reduce to low and continue cooking for 2-3 hours, stirring every hour.
  9. As stated for Vegetarians use vegetable stock.
